Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to obtain state approval to operate?
A typical application for approval to operate takes approximately 30 days to complete and is dependent upon school preparation (required documents). Sometimes, this process can be expedited. Guyton Group cannot tell you how long it takes to receive approval to operate. This depends on the state and the associated workload.
Is seeking accreditation worthwhile?
Seeking accreditation is worthwhile for almost all schools. This is the first step that is required for participation in federal student aid programs. These programs provide students with more options for paying for education.
What is the benefit of dual or programmatic accreditation?
Some schools have found it beneficial to obtain dual or programmatic accreditation. For example, a school that offers allied health programs in addition to information technology programs may elect to pursue programmatic accreditation for the allied health programs. This is in addition to the institutional accreditation. This additional layer may bring more creditability to school programs.
Moreover, some schools elect to obtain dual accreditation. This typically occurs when an institution obtains both national and regional accreditation. Guyton Group can outline this process and assist you in determining an appropriate direction.
How can I effectively grow my business while remaining compliant?
Growth is important and is consistent with most school planning and direction. However, some Schools experience compliance challenges while achieving growth goals. Guyton Group can work with you to develop a growth plan while remaining compliant. This may include a strategic plan as well as quarterly compliance checks.
